These quantities are worked out from OneRock’s real-world coverage rates. They’re a careful guide, not a guarantee — how far a bucket goes depends on your substrate, the texture you’re building, how the material is applied, and normal wastage. Two applicators can get different coverage from the same bucket.

It’s worth adding a bit extra with the + buttons if:

• you’re new to the product, or the substrate is tricky — very absorbent, uneven, or over an epoxy DPM;
• you’re tinting a colour, so you’re not mixing a fresh batch mid-wall and risking a slight shade difference;
• a room lands right on a full-bucket amount, so little or no spare is showing.

A spare bucket, tub or tin is cheap insurance. Anything you don’t use keeps for touch-ups, repairs and other jobs down the line — and any full, unopened products can be returned for a refund. So ordering a little over costs you nothing in the long run, while running short mid-job means stopping to wait on more material and matching a tint across batches. Not sure?
